Wayne Carey is undoubtedly one of the great players of the modern era - someone who can take a game apart and almost single-handedly ensure the Kangaroos get the four points.

As such, he and the Kangaroos are a big threat to our unbeaten run this season. They are the reigning premiers and a quality side.

Carey has spent the vast majority of his career at centre half-forward where he not only kicks goals but creates others.

But he has been equally as damaging across the half back-line for the Kangaroos in recent times.

His mere presence in the key defensive post suddenly makes kicking goals a much tougher proposition.

He can take big marks and create run. Players such as Peter Bell, David King and John Blakey feed off his good work and create opportunities further down field.

So just where Kangaroo coach Denis Pagan starts Carey will be intersting to see - either way he will make life tough for us.

This Sunday's match will be a really good test for us. The reigning premiers have plenty of experience and they will come at us hard this weekend.

They look to be on the verge of hitting top gear and we will need to be at our best to knock them off.

We had a fantastic game last year at the MCG when 44 goals were kicked. We got over the line by 26-points but it was a match that could have either way.

These two clubs have developed a great rivalry in recent years and this weekend should only add to that.

Kangaroos assistant coach Tony Elshaug added a bit of spice to the lead up this week suggesting Essendon doesn't come to the fore when big games come around.

His comments didn't go unnoticed. This weekend is a big game and the players will be pretty keen to prove him wrong.

We should get a big crowd at the MCG this Sunday for what should be an excellent game.Hopefully the weather improves and the Bomber faithful have a great day.
