Essendon is on track to sign a record breaking 65,000 members for season 2015 after reaching a significant milestone today.
Just two weeks into the new year, the club is pleased to announce it has 40,000 members signed on for a season full of big ticket games.
Chairman Paul Little thanked those members who are back in for the upcoming season.
“I’d like to thank all members who have committed to the club for what promises to be a very exciting 2015 season,” Little said.
“To pass 40,000 members three months out from the start of the home and away season is an encouraging sign and it shows the passion and unwavering support of our fans.
“This season will see us play a number of blockbuster games including the ANZAC Day clash which will form part of the 100 year commemoration of the landing at Gallipoli, Dreamtime at the G’, Dustin Fletcher set to play his 400th game, and the ten year anniversary of the ‘Call to Arms’.
“The best way for our fans to support our players and ensure they get a seat at all the big ticket games in 2015 is to purchase a membership."
The current membership tally stands at 40,150.
