The Essendon Football Club would like to thank Under Armour for their support over the past five years.
The partnership, which commenced before the 2020 AFL Season, saw the Bombers become the first AFL club to sign with the Baltimore-based apparel company.
Essendon CEO Craig Vozzo thanked Under Armour for their collaboration after their deal concluded at the end of the 2024 AFL Season.
“The entire Essendon Football Club would like to thank Under Armour for their significant support across our AFL, VFL, VFLW and Wheelchair programs over the past five years as our Official On-Field Apparel and Footwear Partner,” Vozzo said.
“I would like to acknowledge the entire team at Under Armour for their dedication to our partnership and to specifically thank Fernando Reani, for his passion and commitment to the success of the partnership.”
Under Armour Managing Director, Australia & New Zealand Fernando Reani reflected on the brand’s collaboration with Essendon.
“Our partnership with Essendon was the first of its kind for Under Armour in Australia. It enabled us to establish and grow the brand alongside one of the AFL’s most beloved institutions,”Reani said.
“We are very proud of what we were able to achieve together over the past five years and would like to thank Craig, Nick and all the Bombers team for a fantastic chapter in both of our histories. It’s been a privilege to produce one of the game’s most iconic guernseys, as well as lending our expert design and performance capabilities across the entire club’s workforce and programs.
“We’re particularly grateful for the opportunity to demonstrate our brand values through our involvement in the annual Anzac Day and Dreamtime clashes; as well as support for the club’s community giveback initiatives. We look forward to watching these traditions continue to grow, and wish everyone at Essendon well into the future.
“Most of all, we wish to thank the club members and fans for their unwavering support of this historic club by continuing to ‘Don the Sash’ each year.”
