Essendon Football Club is proud to announce it has signed up more than 70,000 members for the first time in the club’s history.
The Bombers’ membership tally currently stands at 70,638, which eclipsed the previous club record of 67,768 set in 2017.
CEO, Xavier Campbell, thanked the members for their ongoing loyalty, passion and support.
“This is a significant milestone in the history of our Club,” Campbell said.
“We’ve witnessed great loyalty and passion from our membership base over a long and challenging period, and to see the red and black faithful grow beyond 70,000 is very special moment for everyone involved in the club.
“We’re determined to reward the loyalty our members have shown in our Club, in our players, our staff, and our coaches over the coming years.
“The competition has never been more even and we know we have a lot of hard work ahead us, but we feel like we are moving in the right direction and we want as many members to join us on this journey.”
Campbell said the Club will continue to explore new and innovative ways to grow its membership base.
“We want to find greater levels of service for our members, develop a deeper connection with our members and we will continue to challenge ourselves to do that moving forward.
“There’s no finish line and we want to keep driving the growth of our membership base, but importantly we want to make our members proud.”
