After being bundled out of the NAB Cup by the Brisbane Lions, the Bombers will play the Sydney Swans at Optus Oval in a twilight practice match tonight. It has only been a fortnight since Essendon played Sydney in an exhibition match and with a Round 1 clash also scheduled with the reigning premiers, it will be an intriguing battle with neither coach wanting to reveal their hands too early.

And it is exactly why he has been so frustrated by the injury that has thrown his pre-season schedule into disarray.
