Blockbusters and home games against traditional rivals await Essendon next year, after the fixture for the 2021 Toyota AFL Premiership Season was released on Monday.
While dates and times have been locked in for rounds one to six, the full details for the remaining rounds will remain flexible as part of a floating fixture.
The Bombers will open their 2021 campaign in a home match against Hawthorn at Marvel Stadium on March 20.
It will mark one of two matches against the Hawks, with Collingwood, North Melbourne, Sydney and Greater Western Sydney the other double-ups.
The traditional Anzac Day match will return for its 26th edition, but as a Collingwood home game.
The Bombers will host the Magpies in the final round, while there are also home games against fellow rivals Carlton (round seven, MCG) and Richmond (round 12, Dreamtime at the 'G) to look forward to.
The Powercor Country Festival game against Geelong will take on a different look, marking the Bombers' first premiership match at GMHBA Stadium since 1993.
Essendon will travel interstate six times but only once each to Western Australia and South Australia, with three interstate games falling in the first five rounds.
CEO Xavier Campbell said the club was looking forward to welcoming back its Melbourne-based fans in the stands.
"We are really pleased to kick off our 2021 season with a Saturday night clash time in prime time against our arch rivals in the Hawks," Campbell said.
"Pending capacity limits at Marvel Stadium, our members will have priority access as we welcome back Melbourne-based crowds for the first time since 2019. And for those who can't make it, the game will be showcased on free-to-air television thanks to Channel Seven.
"We travel interstate three times in the first five rounds, which is again an opportunity to play in front of our New South Wales and South Australian Bombers fans, and, of course, return to Queensland after our stint there in 2020.
"We understand the need for the floating fixture between rounds seven and 23, and will continue to provide our members the necessary communication relating to these games and timings as the details come to hand in 2021."
