What some of the Essendon fan's had to say:

""Not getting much of a chance to show what he's got, when fit very rarely fumbles or makes a poor disposal. Lets hope we can get a few injury free years out of Joel,"" Neville Nalder

""How many more injuries can Joel get. He needs a solid injury free pre-season to give himself the chance to get into the team and consolidate a spot. Obviously he is highly thought of at the Club but unless he gets his body right, time and the younger recruits may pass him by,"" Paul Fisher

""Injury has had a major impact on Joel's career to date. He had some good games in the last part of the year with the Bendigo Bombers. If he is to be a regular in 2006 he must shine early in the season and put in for the hard ball and back his judgement,"" Gary Ryan

""Injuries have cruelled Joel in the AFL. Earlier seasons have shown positive signs of promise but I did not see any evidence in 2005 that Joel is a good AFL player. Hopefully 2006 will be a watershed year,"" Andrew Collard

""Missing a lot through injuries and he never had a chance to show the pace and kicking ability that he possesses. I hope that in 2006 he can cement a place in the team and keep the Reynolds name flying high at Essendon,"" Terry Burke
