Essendon captain Jobe Watson has beenrewarded for an amazing season with selection as centre man in the 2012 AllAustralian team.

Watson said his 2012 season was the mostconsistent since making his debut in 2003.

“It is certainly a long year and you havepeaks and troughs,” Watson said.

“For the main part of the year I thought Iwas able to play at a level I wasn’t able to reach in previous years.”

Watson’s incredible year saw him play all22 games for the Bombers averaging 15.6 kicks and 13.4 handballs per game.

He was ranked sixth in the AFL for totaldisposals and third in the AFL for clearances.

It is the first time Watson has receivedthe All Australian honour during his career.

Jobe becomes thefirst Essendon player to receive the honour of being selected in the AllAustralian team since Dustin Fletcher was named on the interchange bench in2007.
