Kevin Sheedy has admitted the clash between Essendon and Richmond this weekend is the last chance if the Bombers are to make the finals in 2005. Reflecting on the tired looking 42-point loss against the Kangaroos, Sheedy is expecting more from the team that he believes let fans down last weekend.

In the first training session since the loss, the Bombers headed to the State Hockey Centre in Parkville to add a little bit of variety to training this afternoon.

""We have been at Essendon for six months and we probably needed a bit of a freshen up and train at a different venue,"" Sheedy explained.

And it might just be what the Bombers need after a disappointing game on Saturday night.

""I thought we looked pretty tired on Saturday, right from the first quarter. It will be a freshen up week this week and into a big game against Richmond.

""I think the Kangaroos did a pretty good surveillance on us.

""It was extremely disappointing, not only for playing the Kangaroos but keeping our opportunities alive for 2005.""

And Sheedy had a strong message to his players if they want to play this weekend, but stopped short at singling out individuals.

""I think one or two senior players need to perhaps look at themselves and that’s if they are in the team.

""You can’t play like that, why should you disappoint your fans – from my point of view it’s not on.""

But always the optimist, Sheedy is now looking forward to the next challenge against the Tigers.

""That’s life, that’s footy and we just have to learn from it.

""Richmond is a better side this year from what they have been. They have a chance of the finals at stake, we have got a very limited chance. But if we win we are only two games out still, it’s quite amazing how this season has panned out.

""It will be on at the G on Saturday, 2 o’clock. Don’t miss out.""
