Bendigo pushing for top-two finish
The Bendigo Bombers are a clear second on the VFL ladder after scoring an easy 62-point win over Port Melbourne this afternoon. The Bombers led at every change and the result was beyond doubt at the main break. Jordan Doering continued his brilliant form and was the best player on the ground. Kepler Bradley was among Bendigo’s best as was Ricky Dyson and Tristan Cartledge.

While still mathematically possible, Essendon’s chances of playing finals football this season seem almost out of reach as a disappointing Bombers outfit went down to a spirited Kangaroos by 42 tonight at The Dome. After a confidence-boosting win only a week ago, it was a lacklustre Essendon that never looked like threatening the Kangaroos.
