While the Bombers are in Brisbane for their Round 2 match against the Lions, take the opportunity to get involved with the club with some great activities planned for our Queensland supporters.

Sportsman's luncheon

THE Redland Bombers will again host the clubs Sportsman’s luncheon and Bomber Family Day in a weekend that is sure to launch the 2006 season. The popular luncheon will be held Friday April 7 at the Victoria Point Sharks Function room.

The day boasts special guests in Senior Essendon Football Club coach Kevin Sheedy and assistant Dean Wallis. Those who attended last year were rewarded with some typical Sheedy anecdotes as we heard the great man share some of the highlights of his illustrious playing and coaching career.

A limited number of AFL memorabilia items will go under the hammer on the day and there will be raffles and other attractions. Last year’s day saw one lucky punter purchase a seat in the coach’s box alongside Sheedy himself, an item that will be keenly bid for this year.

Our Essendon guests will be joined by former West Coast Eagle premiership player and current Redland Coach David Hart. The fun starts at 12-midday and tickets for the lunch are $65 each or $600 per table of 10. A scrumptious 3-course meal and more than adequate amounts of refreshments are included.
