Essendon forward Joe Daniher will miss Sunday afternoon’s clash against the Western Bulldogs with a shoulder injury.

Cory Dell’Olio replaces Daniher in the selected side and will start in the green vest for the match.

Assistant coach Matthew Egan said Daniher was likely to miss a couple of weeks with the injury.

“Joe hurt his shoulder at training during the week so it is disappointing he comes out of the side because he has had a really good season,” Egan said.

“He will only miss a couple of weeks with a minor shoulder but we just didn’t want to take the risk with him.
