Dyson Heppell continues to reap the rewards for his dominant season, being chosen by Essendon fans as their Most Valuable Player.
With Captain Jobe Watson missing for close to 10 weeks, the young star showed incredible leadership on and off the field, as well as the ability to perform under pressure.
Heppell finished the season averaging 28 disposals a game from his 21 matches, missing only one game with a broken hand.
His hard work has not gone unnoticed, finishing fourth in the tightly contested AFL Players Association MVP awards, named captain of the 22 under 22 team for the second year in a row and also featuring in the 2014 All Australian Squad.
David Zaharakis and Cale Hooker were also popular amongst the fans who are given the chance to vote for their top three players following each game.
