The Essendon Women’s Network (EWN) is celebrating their 20th Anniversary in 2017. As the longest standing women’s coterie group in the AFL, the current committee of the EWN is committed to ensuring the EWN remains meaningful in the future and provides a voice for women in football.
On Friday 9th June the EWN will host their annual Networking Lunch at ZINC in Federation Square. This year’s event, Change ahead of Change will celebrate their past achievements and honour the influential women that have been and continue to be pioneers in the football industry. At the same time, they will look forward in a thought provoking discussion as to what the next steps are to ensure this exciting breakthrough continues.
The Honourable Linda Dessau AC, Governor of Victoria also a founding member of the Essendon Women’s Network will be providing the opening address. Tiffany Cherry will lead a discussion with past Football Woman of the Year recipients, Beverly Knight and Belinda Duarte as well as GWS recruiter and AFL journalist, Emma Quayle.
