TheBombers are keeping a close eye on the free agency market ahead of the official commencement date on October 1. 

Essendon chiefexecutive officer Ian Robson admits the Club would love to secure the servicesof out of contract St Kilda star Brendon Goddard, as would a number ofclubs.

Robson said manyimportant internal discussions had taken place in regards to improving theclub's list.

""We have had a lotof conversations internally because we were not playing finals as of twoweeks ago,"" Robson said

""Every club in theleague is assessing where their lists are at, and who is or who is notavailable.""

""Brendon is clearlysomeone who has not made a commitment to St. Kilda, the same way KurtTippet hasn't at Adelaide.""

""We will watch thatspace with interest. Brendon would be a player that 17 other clubs in theleague would love to have.""

Essendon still hassix players yet to sign that have the option to nominate for freeagency on October 1.

Angus Monfries is arestricted free agent while Ricky Dyson, Dustin Fletcher, DavidHille, Nathan Lovett-Murray and Henry Slattery are unrestricted freeagents.
