MARK THOMPSON
Dual best and fairest winner, Mark Thompson played 202 games for the Bombers - winning three premierships and captaining the side to the 1993 flag. Thompson earned the nickname 'Bomber' for his dedication and the work he had put into the club.
NORM MCDONALD
Dual premiership player Norm McDonald was one of Essendon's greatest half back flankers - he was amongst the fastest footballers to play in that position. McDonald played 128 games for the Bombers during 1947-1953 and won the best and fairest award in 1951.
GAVIN WANGANEEN
Although Gavin Wanganeen only played five seasons with the Bombers, his list of achievements during this period is extensive. Premiership medal - 1993, Brownlow medal - 1993, All-Australian -1992, 1993 and 1995. He was also named young Aboriginal Sports Star of the Year in 1993.
SEAN WELLMAN
2000 Premiership player Sean Wellman is a classy defender for the Bombers who usually plays across half back but can also play up forward when needed. The current Essendon vice-captain was an All-Australian selection in 1998 and 2001.
