By no means was Essendon's performance against Richmond last Sunday one of its best for season 2003 - but the important thing is the team got the points and with that have almost guaranteed themselves a finals berth. Assistant coach Robert Shaw said the blustery conditions at the MCG made it difficult out there for the players, especially the taller brigade. ""It was a lot more windy than the Carlton game and more difficult conditions. 40 points is a good win and we played enough good football through the game to let people know that we want to play finals. I have a really good feeling about us going into next week and also the Collingwood game,"" Shaw said.
