Mark McVeigh will join teammate Paul Barnard tomorrow night at the AFL Tribunal. McVeigh was sighted on video review this afternoon for allegedly striking Michael Osborne in last Friday night's clash against Hawthorn. It is the first time McVeigh will front the Tribunal in his career. Barnard will face the Tribunal for the second time this season after being reported in the second quarter for allegedly striking Luke Hodge.
Essendon was without its big name stars last Friday night - no James Hird, Matthew Lloyd, Dustin Fletcher, Dean Rioli and Adam Ramanauskas. Yet the team still managed to overpower Hawthorn by 53-points. A fantastic effort considering the personnel out and the fact the team only kicked five goals the previous week. Essendon faces a bigger challenge this Friday night when they meet fourth placed Port Adelaide at The Dome but it will be boosted by the return of some big names.
