Warnie from The Traders, AFL.com.au’s NAB AFL Fantasy experts, will be taking a look at the Bombers each week exclusive to essendonfc.com.au.

LAST WEEK

It was a disappointing display on Saturday night against the Cats going down by 69 points and copping a hiding on the Fantasy scoreboard too.

Premium players Dyson Heppell and Brendon Goddard didn’t let their coaches down with 111 each. Zach Merrett (106) was the only other Bomber to score over the ton.

Michael Hibberd (83) is averaging 90.7 in his last three matches and his 26 disposal game was impressive, however with 18 handballs in his 26 disposals, his coaches want him to get it on the boot more.

Playing his first game for the year, Elliott Kavanagh (83) will have hopefully done enough to stay in the side and is a potential downgrade option.

ON THE RADAR

The byes start this weekend where we have three rounds where six teams will have a bye.

If you are just worrying about your default Classic league, then there are no games over the next three weeks however you are still able (and should) make trades to make your team better as you resume head-to-head battles in round 14.

If you are going for overall ranking, then you need to be fielding as many players are possible each week as your best 18 scores from within your 22 on field players will count towards your score each round.

Getting some cash to help with upgrades over these rounds is important no matter what strategy you’re running with. Kavanagh ticks some boxes at just $167,000.

WHAT’S COMING UP

The Bombers travel to Perth to take on the Eagles.

Back in round 21 last year, the Bombers won by three points and Dyson Heppell top scored with 120 points. Mark Baguley posted 112 to be solid as a rock in the backline and David Zaharakis, who will hopefully return soon, racked up 31 disposals for 102 points.
