Essendon Football Club is providing Indigenous artists with the opportunity to become part of Club history by designing Essendon’s 2016 Dreamtime Game guernsey.
The annual Dreamtime at the ‘G clash between Essendon and Richmond unites communities behind the colours of each club, encouraging all Australians to stand together and strive for reconciliation.
The specially designed guernsey will be worn by Essendon’s entire playing group on-field for the commemorative Dreamtime game in 2016. The guernsey featuring the winning designs will be produced and retailed exclusively through the club.
The prize winner will be honoured by having their name included within the design and will also be the club’s special guest at the 2016 Dreamtime game. In addition, a framed player-signed version of the winning guernsey will also be presented to the competition winner.
The competition closes on Wednesday 8th July and winners will be announced on Friday 10th July on the club website after the designs have been submitted and approved by the Essendon Football Club Board.
