Michael Hurley is closing in on his fundraising target to help young Essendon supporter Ashleigh.
The four year-old is battling cerebral palsy and is need of a new hoist and bed to improve her quality of life.
The defender has also decided to auction off the right to shave his shocking locks.
Hurley is hoping someone with deep pockets will stump up the cash to bolster the final fundraising figure.
The highest bidder will give Hurley the much needed trim on Thursday 11 June, just in time for the team’s trip to play West Coast.
