Brent Stanton played an important role during the 2015 season.
In the absence of many of his teammates, Stanton proved exactly why he is rated so highly at the Club and has celebrated such a long career proving that he still had plenty to offer in terms of his leadership and experience, on and off the field.
Playing in all 22 of the Bombers' matches, Stanton averaged 26.2 disposals at an impressive 73.7%.
Usually used either off the half-back line or on the wing, Stanton was received an 'elite' rating for uncontested possessions, marks and metres gains per game.
Even at 29-years of age, the veteran gained an average of 466m per-game. This was 50m more than any other player at the Bombers throughout the year.
Although there were a number of impressive games, Stanton capped off the season with a best on ground performance in round 23 collecting 30 disposals and booting three goals in a win against the Magpies.
A hard working player since being drafted in 2003, Stanton proved an overwhelming ability to win the ball during the season collecting 30 plus disposals in eight games.
Taken at number 13 in the 2003 national draft, the midfielder quickly rose to prominence in the 2004 season, cementing his position in the team.
Since then, Stanton has become renown for his durability at the senior level, amassing 248 career games since 2005 - one of the highest tallies in the AFL.
