Essendon will take an unchanged line-up into its round three clash with Port Adelaide on Friday night.
John Worsfold opted to stick with the same side that recorded a thrilling win over Melbourne last week.
“It’s nice – it means we got through the game unscathed in terms of injury and obviously the team performed pretty well,” Worsfold said.
“It’s a short week … so we had to pretty quickly get re-focused on the Port game.
“It is important for us to enjoy the win and enjoy the performance of the players – and there were some big announcements for the Club over the weekend which was great as well – but now we’re looking forward to putting our best foot forward against Port.”
The Power beat St Kilda in round one, but lost by 58 points to Adelaide in the Showdown last week.
Despite the result Port Adelaide lead the competition for contested possessions and sit in second place for inside 50’s.
“They’re obviously a very good contested ball winning side with quite a big, strong midfield, so that’s going to be one challenge for us – to match them in that area,” Worsfold said.
“Their ability to move the ball fast and go forward fast – they’re going to take us on with that as well, so it’ll test our defence but it’s something the guys will look forward to.”
The Power won a shootout against Essendon last season at Etihad Stadium, but the Bombers take in a strong recent record to South Australia.
They’ve won there in each of their last three visits, including two against the Power.
