The Coaches have announced the team for this Sunday’s game against the Gold Coast Suns.
There will be four changes to the team with Mathew Stokes, Jonathan Simpkin, Orazio Fantasia and Jake Long all named for the game.
It marks an important return from injury for both Mathew Stokes and Jonathan Simpkin, who have spent an extended period of time on the sideline.
Stokes will be a welcome addition to the Bombers' forward line against the Suns, while Simpkin's experience in the midfield is important to cover the loss of Captain Brendon Goddard.
This marks the first game for Simpkin since he injured his hamstring against the Sydney Swans in round 7.
After an extended stint on the sideline, Simpkin has been impressive for Essendon VFL since making his return almost a month ago.
He has been consistent averaging 26-disposals over a hard three weeks for the team.
It’s also a special occasion for defender Matt Dea who will play in his 50th AFL game after joining the Club in January this year.
Dea made his debut with the Tigers in 2010 and played 31-games with the Tigers before he was delisted at the end of the 2015 season.
The 24-year old has been a revelation for the Bombers in the absence of the some of the Club's more high profile defenders.
His tenacity, efforts and courage have seen Dea quickly become a fan favourite and an imposing member of the team's young back six.
