Essendon VFL will welcome three senior-listed Bombers back to its squad ahead of Sunday’s semi-final against Werribee.

Versatile defender Jordan Ridley, athletic tall Tuth Jok and prolific onballer Dylan Clarke return to the line-up, named on the wing, half-back flank and in the centre respectively.

It will be Clarke’s first game back since round eight, where he recorded a game-high 31 disposals against Richmond.

Michael Hartley has been named at full-back following an all-round performance in last weekend’s qualifying final, which saw him slot three goals from his time up forward and record 11 hitouts in the ruck.

At the opposite end, Josh Begley will begin at full-forward with support from Mark Baguley and Kurt Aylett.

Defender Matt Dea will start in the back pocket, after announcing his retirement earlier in the week.

Skipper Aaron Heppell sits on the extended bench alongside co-vice-captain Heath Hocking, while his counterpart Danny Younan has been named on the half-forward flank.

Dylan Landt will be the 23^rd player, while David Myers will play his 50th VFL game. 

The last time the two sides met was in round 13 at Avalon Airport Oval, with the VFL Dons slotting two late goals to come away with the four points.

This time around they will face each other at Adcon Stadium, Port Melbourne, with a spot in a preliminary final at stake.

The team will be finalised ahead of the first bounce at 2:10pm on Sunday, September 8.
