In the latest Bomberland poll voters were asked who they believed should return to the Essendon side in the wake of Matthew Lloyd's suspension. Of the six options given to voters Gary Moorcroft was clearly the man they favored. Moorcroft attracted 43% of the vote - almost twice as many votes as anyone else received. Dean Wallis came in second with 23% of the vote with youngster Cory McGrath (18%) also polling well. A number of voters had comments to make on who they believe should be included in the Preliminary Final side to take on Hawthorn this Saturday afternoon at the MCG.
Rob Leersen from Newnham says: ""It's make or break for King Wally. If he gets through the Preliminary Final he will win the flag for us. If he breaks down we will have to work a lot harder for the prize. Play the King.""
Brett Crabtree from Adelaide says: Dean Wallis should replace Lloyd if fit as he can play anywhere, is a fantastic performer in finals when it matters most and will free Wellman and Barnard to perform more attacking roles in Lloyd's absence. Dean completes our defence.""
Vince Pilato from Ardeer says: ""Just a quick word to say that I believe Jonathon Robran should be given more of a go...his height is handy and I liken him to an on-song Peter Cransberg!""
Steven from Perth says: ""Play Gary Moorcroft. He is a match-winner and can kick goals. He is also a tough performer - if there is someone there to be cleaned up he do it well with a hip and shoulder. You need that in big finals.""
Lee from Geelong says: ""I think Mark Bolton should be the man to get the nod. He plays tall and that is need against Hawthorn but is also good at ground level and can run. I'd be very surprised if he doesn't play.""
