Essendon has enjoyed a fulfilling experience at their Community Camp in Bendigo this week.
Beginning with a cultural session and smoking ceremony on the Dja Dja Wurrung and Taungurung lands on Monday morning, groups of Bombers travelled around the surrounding suburbs in Gisborne, Castlemaine and Bendigo throughout the afternoon.
Getting amongst their loyal fans around the region, the Dons visited a number of schools including Jye Caldwell's old primary school, Maiden Gully PS.

Q&A's, signatures, and footy clinics were the theme of the day, with several young Bomber fans relishing the opportunity to meet their favourite players.
The Dons continued their Community Camp with an open training session at Epsom Huntly Recreation Reserve on Tuesday morning, where the playing group spent more time with fans for signatures and photos after a gruelling main skills hit-out.
“We’re thrilled with the outcomes from the couple of days we spent on our Community Camp, visiting Gisborne, Castlemaine and Bendigo” Essendon Head of Community Tim Nield said.
“With the help of AFL Victoria, we’ve put a great deal of effort into organising a camp which connects with our community strategy, and importantly providing the best Essendon experience for our fans in the region.
“Seeing our fans in the Northwest region with smiles on their faces is always a fantastic feeling for the players and the club in general.”
