Will Hams has been recalled to the Essendon side after more than a year on the sidelines.
The 20 year old played two games in 2013 but continuing hip problems derailed his 2014 season.
“He’s worked very hard to get his way back into the side,” Essendon Coach James Hird said.
“He’s an inside-mid and we need a bit of that action at the moment.”
Courtenay Dempsey also returns to the side after gathering 18 possessions in the VFL on the weekend.
“He had a difficult pre-season before Christmas but he’s got himself fit, body fat where we want it, running well and in really good form in the twos,” Hird said.
The Anzac Day clash is one of the most highly anticipated matches on the football calendar and the Bombers enter the game confident after two straight wins.
“Anzac Day is such an important day for all Australians and a great day of national pride and remembrance.
“We’ll talk a little about that but also how to handle the day,” Hird said.
