Celebrate the names of Hunter, Epis, Capuano, Harvey, Reid and O’Donnell at Essendon’s upcoming 2014 Hall of Fame Induction.

The Hall of Fame recognises and enshrines players, coaches, administrators and officials who have made a significant contribution to the Essendon Football Club since the club’s inception in 1872.

Held on Thursday 8 May at Crown Palladium from midday, this year’s Hall of Fame Induction is an event not to be missed.

Induction into the Essendon Hall of Fame is the highest honour the club can bestow. Today, there are 25 Hall of Fame Legends and 15 Hall of Fame Members.

This year, premiership player Harry Hunter will be inducted as a Legend of the Essendon Football Club. Hunter played 109 games for Essendon between 1921-1927 and 1929, including the 1924 premiership. Hunter played for Victoria in 1922, 1923, 1925 and 1927. A committeeman for 14 years, Hunter was also the Club Treasurer between 1961-1971 and Chair of Selectors.

A further five members will also be inducted in to the club’s Hall of Fame including Alec Epis, Mark Harvey, Barry Capuano, Bruce Reid and Gary O’Donnell.
