Essendon Football Club is excited to announce it has today achieved an all time record membership number exceeding 56,172 members for the first time in the club's history.
The current member tally stands at 56,884.
The previous record of 56,172 members was the final member tally for the 2013 season.
The club is continuing to strive towards 60,000 members before July 31 and is encouraging all fans to Don the Sash and join as a 2014 member.
Essendon coach Mark Thompson thanked fans for their ongoing support of the club.
“We have been overwhelmed by the support and passion that all of our fans have shown towards the club," Thompson said.
“As a club we have set an ambitious target of exceeding 60,000 members this season and I urge all supporters to make sure you join up as a member today to be part of the club in 2014."
The club recently launched a new Digital Plus membership which comes with access to live stream all AFL games, watch on-demand replays and more.
There are a range of membership options available starting at just $50 for adults and $25 for juniors.
