Essendon selectors have left out Michael Prior, Danny Jacobs and Sean Denham from the squad of 25 it named to take on Collingwood on Anzac Day.

All three can consider themselves extremely unlucky given the side comfortably accounted for the Western Bulldogs last weekend.

The three have made way for established stars Michael Long and Mark Mercuri along with defender Paul Barnard.

Prior, Denham and Jacobs will now play in the Bombers VFL match against Collingwood at Victoria Park this afternoon. The game commences at 2.00pm.

All three have been made emergencies for the Anzac Day match.

The match will be broadcast live into Melbourne next Tuesday because it is a sell out.

A huge day has been planned with pre-match entertainment commencing at 12.30pm.
