Star defender Jordan Ridley has earned his second selection in the AFL Players' Association's 22under22 team in recognition of his outstanding 2021 campaign.
The reigning Crichton medallist is the only Bomber in the fan-voted team, which recognises the best 22 players aged 22 or under who played at least 12 games in the season.
Introducing the #22Under22 team for 2021! Congratulations to those players selected in this year’s team. We have 12 newcomers, while @CarltonFC’s Sam Walsh was named as captain and @freodockers midfielder Andy Brayshaw was named his deputy.

Ridley has built on his breakout season last year to set career-high averages for disposals (21.3), rebound 50s (6.2), intercepts (6.4), metres gained (413.8) and one-percenters (5.4) in the 2021 home and away season.
The 22-year-old has exuded maturity beyond his years to stand up as a key pillar in a new-look defence.
His composure under pressure has again been a hallmark of his game, with Ridley ranking seventh in the competition for disposal efficiency this season.
Meanwhile, the Bombers' nominees for the 2021 AFLPA MVP Awards will be revealed at 2pm AEST today.
The nominees, which are voted by each respective club's players, are across four categories: MVP, best first-year player, best captain and most courageous.
