Star defender Jordan Ridley is on track for his second selection in the AFL Players' Association's 22under22 team in recognition of his outstanding 2021 campaign.
The reigning Crichton medallist is the only Bomber among 40 young guns named in the initial squad, with the fan-voted final team to be named on August 24.
It's another feather in the cap for the 22-year-old, who has built on his breakout 2020 season to set career-high averages for disposals (21.3), rebound 50s (6.3), intercepts (6.5) and metres gained (421.4) so far in 2021.
The 22under22 team recognises the best 22 players aged 22 or under, with a player needing to play at least 12 games in the season to be eligible.
