Essendon is heading to Adelaide for Gather Round featuring a huge weekend of footy and community events.
Here’s everything you need to know.
Friday, 11 April — Macca’s Footy Fest
Location: Elder Park
Time: 3:30pm – 6:30pm
Kick off the weekend at the Macca’s Footy Fest at Elder Park.
Come and meet our fan team, test your paper plane-making skills, and go in the running to win some great prizes.
A selection of players will also appear on stage between 4:30pm and 5:30pm, so make sure you’re there to catch them live.
Saturday, 12 April — Game Day
Location: Adelaide Oval
Time: 7:35pm (AEST) Saturday night
It’s game day as we take on Melbourne at Adelaide Oval under lights.
Tickets are still available — don’t miss your chance to cheer the team on in a big Saturday night clash.

Sunday, 13 April — Superkick Clinic and Fan Activities
Location: University Oval (Park 12, War Memorial Drive, North Adelaide)
Time: 10:30am – 12:20pm
Join us at University Oval on Sunday morning for a family-friendly event.
While registrations for the NAB AFL Superkick Clinic have closed, fans are encouraged to attend and take part in a range of activities including:
- Paper plane making
- Merchandise pop-up
- Face painting
- Prizes and giveaways
A coffee cart and the canteen will also be open.
Key Timings:
- 10:30am – 12:20pm: Paper plane making, prizes, merchandise pop-up and face painting
- 10:45am – 11:45am: Clinic activation - on-ground
- 11:45am – 12:05pm: Player signing session
- 12:05pm – 12:20pm: Q&A with Buddy Franklin
- 12:20pm: Event concludes
