Ahead of the 26th annual Anzac Day game this week, Essendon Football Club wishes to extend its acknowledgement to its past players who were killed while on active duty.
The below list of players served during the Boer War, World War I and World War II, as well as The Vietnam War and The Korean War.

Dick Clough (1907-08) – Died 2/06/1915 DOW at sea
Jimmy Gordon (1913-14) – Died 30/09/1918 in France
Billy G. Harvey (1912) – Died 14/09/1917 in Belgium
Herb Hunter (1900) – Died 08/05/1915 in Krithia, Cape Helles, Gallipoli, Turkey
Fred McIntosh (1913-14) – Died 28/09/1917 in Polygon Wood, Belgium
Charlie Morley (1906) – Died 13/04/1919 OAS (illness)
Les Rogers (1915) – Died 4/08/1916 in France
Gerald J. Ryan (1906; 1909) – Died 06/02/1917 in Tiddworth, Wiltshire, UK
Jack Wood (1910) – Died 20/10/1914 OAS as the result of an accident in East Melbourne, VIC
World War II
Godfrey Goldin (1939) – Died 07/02/1943 in New Guinea
