Thank you, Bomber Army.

Blue skies, sunshine, food trucks, giveaways, player signings and more. The NEC Hangar was buzzing when more than 3,000 passionate Bombers fans turned out to celebrate the highly anticipated 2025 Family Day.

The day brought an immense amount of joy, excitement and pride across the whole Club, and no one was prouder than CEO Craig Vozzo

“Family Day was a terrific way to launch into our 2025 AFL Season and a great reminder of what our Club and players mean to our members and fans. The smiling faces, fun and positivity was infectious,” Vozzo said.

"Seeing thousands of members and supporters of all ages in the crowd and spending time with our playing group across both our AFL and AFLW teams was as timely a reminder as ever of how brilliant your support remains as a pillar of our Club.

"Saturday’s turnout was reflective of the passion and excitement that the playing group are bringing into the season ahead, and we hope you felt that too. Many of you would have had the opportunity to see and meet nearly a quarter of the AFL squad for the first time, including some of the exciting young talent.

“I’d sincerely like to extend our thanks to all members and supporters (from first years to long term members) for your incredible loyalty and commitment. We understand the importance of your support and are determined to deliver you the success we’re all striving for."

Alongside Family Day, another big Club focus was the second annual Bomberthon.

The three-day campaign spanned across social media, membership calls, text messages, an SEN radio takeover and more, all of which helped turn more than 2,000 fans into official Bomber members. These new members take the current membership tally to more than 68,000.

The Club would also like to take this opportunity to recognise the initial scheduling error with the Family Day on Tuesday, February 4. We have listened to all members and supporters and your feedback is invaluable in shaping our decisions. We apologise for any angst caused.

Set to officially open their year on the Gold Coast for Opening Round this Saturday, the club is optimistic and excited about the season ahead.

“Let’s stand together united at the football this season. Let’s fill the stands with red and black and cheer for the mighty Bombers,” Vozzo said.
