The Bendigo Bombers are back on the winners list after four straight losses, defeating the Coburg Tigers by 20 points yesterday at the Queen Elizabeth Oval. When the two teams last met earlier in the season, Coburg were too strong for Bendigo winning the match by 45-points.

To turn the result against a team pushing for September action was a promising sign for Matthew Knights and the Bendigo side as they lay the foundations for the 2007 season.

Simon Rosa, Dean Solomon and Jordan Doering were busy all day touching plenty of the football, while Bendigo captain Nick Carter was the most dangerous forward for the Bombers with four goals.

Dean Rioli returned to the Bendigo side for his first game of AFL since Round 6. Rioli kicked one goal, but left the ground early as a precaution with hamstring tightness, but he has not been ruled out for this week.
