Bendigo has surrendered a five goal final quarter lead to go down by three points to Casey in the VFL at Windy Hill.

Bendigo led all day until five answered goals in the last term handed Casey a win and took them to the top of the ladder.

Essendon duo Mark McVeigh and Jason Winderlich both impressed throughout the afternoon as they push for AFL selection.

Rookies Hal Hunter and Brendan Lee were once again impressive for Bendigo with Hunter kicking an amazing goal from the boundary line in the first quarter.

Bendigo 11.8.74
