Essendon's 10 non-selected players combined with Richmond's reserves in a scratch match against the Western Bulldogs on Saturday.
The 18-a-side game was played across three 20-minute thirds on one of the ovals surrounding Metricon Stadium.
Development coach Leigh Tudor has assessed every Essendon player below.
Harrison Jones
"Jones got 40 minutes this week, and pulled up well again. He's ready for full games now, which is great. He played mainly as a high half-forward, and his work-rate was really good. When the Western Bulldogs were moving out of defence, he intercepted a couple of times and showed great defensive pressure for the second week in a row. He also took a couple of contested marks, so it was a really pleasing game from him."
Irving Mosquito
"It was another really good game from him. He played as a forward, kicked the first two goals of the game and like Ham, was involved in a lot of our scoring chains. His fall-of-the-ball work was really good."
Andrew Phillips
"Phillips was outstanding again. His ruck-work has just been sensational in all these scratch matches - the hitouts to advantage and the follow-up work were superb. He spent some time up forward as well, took a couple of contested marks and kicked a goal."
Brayden Ham
"Ham pretty much played on the wing the whole time and had an excellent game. He was involved in just about all our scoring chains, used the ball really well and kicked a nice running goal. He couldn't have done any more."
Cian McBride
"It was his first game back from injury, so he played just 20 minutes, got through and pulled up well. He'll be looking to play 40 to 60 minutes in the next game, so overall it was a good result for Cian."
Ross McQuillan
"It was interesting for Ross. He played in the back-line and was pretty much the only Essendon player down there alongside all the Richmond guys. He's working on his one-on-one contest stuff and got in a lot of positions to do that, which was good. He hurt his finger in the second quarter, but stayed on and continued to play. It was a good afternoon for Ross in trying conditions."
Ned Cahill
"Ned was sore early, so he didn't play much of the game. He came off, so we'll see how he pulls up."
Nick Bryan
"Nick played ruck and forward, swapping with Phillips. It was good to see him get some more time in the ruck. He competed well and had a solid game."
Henry Crauford
"Crauford competed hard. He copped some heavy knocks but toughed out the game. It was good to see him keep fighting and presenting as a key forward."
Noah Gown
"He looked really dangerous at times. He was involved in some of our scoring chains, kicked one himself and presented well. A good effort from 'Gowny'."
