Dustin Fletcher will become Essendon's Football Club’s second most prolific player when he achieves his 321st game next weekend to eclipse club legend Dick Reynolds.

To commemorate this remarkable milestone - which takes place in Round 9 - Mitchelton Wines and Essendon Football Club have produced a commemorative wine called Fletcher 321 that, like 35-year-old Dustin, keeps getting better with age.

The wine is a careful blend of Shiraz and Merlot sourced from selected sites within Victoria and produced to a ‘BIG RED’ style, in honour of Dustin.

It displays bold ripe cherry flavours with hints of chocolate and spice and can be cellared for up to four years.

This wine is available to purchase through the Essendon website at a very special price of $50 per 6 bottle pack. Click here to order some of this special wine.

But be quick, as volumes are strictly limited.

Senior Winemaker at Mitchelton Wines, Ben Haines, said the wine displays vitality and class.

""Striking red in colour with long, powerful legs, lots of intensity and packing a real punch to sit at the top of the pack,” he said.

""The 2009 Victorian Shiraz Merlot from Mitchelton is a worthy Ambassador for a great Victorian footballer.""
