Now the 2012 Olympic games have wrapped up, attention turns to the Paralympics with competition getting underway on August 29 in London.

Essendon fan and Australian Paralympian Jess Gallagher will be trying to create history by becoming the first Paralympian to win a Winter and Summer Paralympics medal, after she won bronze in the downhill skiing at the 2010 Vancouver Games.

Gallagher will be competing in the Javelin and Long Jump events in London where she is currently preparing for competition.

Her first event will be the Javelin F13 Final during the morning session on September 2ndand then the Long Jump F13 Final during the evening session on September 7th.
