This is what some of the fans had to say about David Myers’ 2008 season:
John Poke - David is a genuine star and I look forward to seeing this young man develop in 2009. Well done on your first year at the Bombers.
Cameron Gliese - Showed massive potential. People who are saying we should have picked up Palmer instead need to have a good look at this guy pin-pointing Lloydy's chest from 50m away against Carlton. Future star.
Barry Douce - Got better with game time and experience. Will be a good player for us.
Caleb Slade - Even though he only played eight games, he looks like he will be a future captain/leader. KEEP IT UP DAVID!
Andrew Fisher - Massive potential! Will be motivated next season fighting for a secure spot in the first 22! Looking forward to seeing him mature!
Barney Sneddon - Good first season. I would have liked to have seen more of him on the half back. Natural assertion and aggression is exactly the ticket. Presents beautifully off the ground. Good recruiting.
Ross Penny - Could development into a very handy player for the club in the future.
Ben White - In the games that he played he really looked a class act. Smooth running and kicking style, seems to have plenty of time and uses the ball very well.
Rachael Lee Hawthorn - David Myers is going to be a good player. I am looking forward to watching him play more games next season. Good luck David.
Julian McGuire - Showed some great signs that he will be a very good midfielder in the future. Being tall and quick makes him potentially a very dangerous weapon.
Max Rodwell - Had a good look at this kid in the few games he played this year and he certainly knows how to find the ball. Against the Blues he was good but at times seemed a bit confused at what to do with it but a bit of match time will cure that.
Gwenda Warfe – Very, very impressed with David, a real find and long term player of the future.
Rod Ansell - Myers showed great promise in his first year. Reads the play well and has good disposal. He will benefit from another preseason and he could become a very handy player off half back or in the midfield.
Trevor Swain - Got better with every game. Love the way he sprints into the middle after a centre bounce. He is also hard to get knocked off the ball which is very encouraging.
Isaac Brown - Disappointing 2008 if you compare him to the likes of Rhyce Palmer and Cyril Rioli.
James Brown - Is the next Essendon Brownlow Medallist. Has good skills, good speed, good head on his shoulders... the next Chris Judd! Looking forward to next year, hopefully being an injury free year for him, and the NAB Rising Star. He will win it if his body holds up for him. This kid is a star!
Celia Myers - Typical first year, some minor injury niggles, but showed signs of promise for the future.
Evan Trchala - In the games he played, he looked good, looks like a future star of the club, injuries interrupted his year. Looking forward to seeing him in full-flight next year.
Ricke Dovey - Very impressive youngster. Has size, athleticism, courage - everything to make it at AFL level. I will be interested in his development in the next few years as I'm excited by watching his progress in 08!
Vlad Nedanovski – Potential, potential, potential. This kid can be an absolute star if he can stay mentally strong. Possibly a future candidate for Bombers’ captain. I think he can be one of our leaders going forward.
