Mitsubishi keep On The Ball
The children involved in Essendon Football Club’s On the Ball program in 2008 will receive an extra gift thanks to Mitsubishi. The company donated caps to 1000 children who participated in the program. Essendon’s Sam Lonergan and Jay Nash joined Mitsubishi’s managing director Michio Taki at Catholic Regional College last week to present the caps to children involved in the program.

On The Ball is a school-based health promotion program - run by the Bill Hutchison Foundation in conjunction with Essendon - that uses elite athletes as role models in the delivery of a resiliency program.
The goal of On The Ball is to improve the long-term health outcomes for young people, through developing problem-solving and decision-making skills and building a sense of belonging.
The program targets Year 8 students and uses Essendon players and elite level netballers as facilitators.
