Over 800 people attended the third and final Dick Reynolds Club luncheon for 2004 yesterday. The sold-out event celebrated the 20-year anniversary of the 1984 and 1985 premierships. Some of Essendon’s greatest names attended the function including premiership coach Kevin Sheedy and premiership captain Terry Daniher.

All players from the back-to-back grand final sides attended the luncheon, excluding Bill Duckworth, Roger Merrett and Mark Thompson who had other commitments. The likes of Leon Baker, Terry Daniher, Stephen Carey, Glen Hawker, Simon Madden and Paul Van Der Haar shared stories about their playing days and reminisced with their old teammates. Guests also heard from the back to back coach, Kevin Sheedy.

Master of Ceremonies and premiership player Tim Watson interviewed each player in his inimitable manner. All players were also inducted into the Past Premiership Players Club and were presented with a medallion and certificate from club legends Jack Jones and Barry Davis.
