For the second time, the Essendon Football Club Windy Hill venue has been awarded the Clubs Victoria ‘Club of the Year’. Windy Hill is the only venue to have won the award twice, having first being presented the honour in 1995. The venue also won ‘Tattersalls Best Gaming Venue’ (with 50+ machines) and was a finalist in a number of other awards categories.

The prestigious awards were presented at the Crown Palladium Ballroom, where 800 guests witnessed Windy Hill take out the award that every venue aspires to achieve.

Essendon fans believe they didn’t see enough of Courtney Johns in 2005 to gain a great insight to the player he has the potential to be. Making his long awaited debut after a debilitating hip injury, he had limited opportunities in his three games for the season, but fans are looking forward to seeing a fit Courtney Johns in 2006.
