Bomberland users have overwhelmingly supported comments made by Essendon chief executive Peter Jackson in the wake of Matthew Lloyd's suspension earlier this week. In a press release Jackson said he had been disappointed by comments made by AFL personnel after the charge against Lloyd had been laid. As a result Jackson received a please explain letter from the AFL and could be fined up to $5000 as a result. This week's Bomberland Poll asked users if Jackson should be fined and at 11.00am this morning 443 (90%) said no and 49 (10%) said yes.

Neal form Kealba, Victoria said: ""I think Wayne Jackson should be fined! It seems like one rule for the clubs and their officials and another for the AFL heads. Consistency is all that the fans want.""

Michael Wyres from Alredton said: ""What a Joke! Peter Jackson gets asked to ""please explain"" when Wayne Jackson slags off at Essendon for defending Matthew Lloyd long before the charge is even laid...talk about trying to pervert to course of justice.""

David from Moonee Ponds said: ""The club should send a please explain letter to Wayne Jackson. I can't believe the AFL had the gall to send Essendon a letter after making prejudicial comments themselves. I think Sheeds hit the nail on the head... STRUGGLING!""
