Essendon Football Club has offered its deepest sympathies to the McVeigh family following the passing of Sydney Swans' player Jarrad McVeigh's daughter Luella today.

""Our sincere condolences go out to Jarrad and Clementine and their families as they cope with this tragic circumstance.""

Luella McVeigh, born on July 25 with a serious heart condition, died this afternoon in Sydney's Westmead Hospital.
