The game hosted the returns of several Essendon listed players including Courtenay Dempsey, Tom Hislop and Darcy Daniher who had all been out with injury and although the result did not go Bendigo’s way the three young players will be much better for the run.
Andrew Lovett, who was given a two-week club imposed suspension from the seniors, was one of Bendigo’s better players in a day that provided few highlights for Bendigo fans.
After a seven goal to two first quarter Collingwood were in control of the game all afternoon, winning 20.16.136 to Bendigo 6.10.46.
