Taite Silverlock is on the path to recovery after suffering a broken fibula in the Bendigo Bombers’ round 11 clash with Frankston two months ago.

Catching up with Tayte Pears this week on Bomber.tv, Silverlock has told fans that his return has been gradual, but pleasing.

“It’s going pretty well,” said Silverlock.

“I’ve got two more weeks on crutches, then I’m starting to walk on the (medical) boot.

The injury hasn’t dampened Silverlock’s thirst to keep training, with the young rookie hitting the gym as often as he can in preparation for his full return to fitness.

“It’s feeling pretty good. I’ve come to use my arms more than my legs, which is why I’m in the gym a fair bit.

“There’s nothing really that I can do except for swimming and weights.”

With the season now over, Silverlock plans on heading up to the Gold Coast with the rest of the team for a break, as well as heading back home.

“I’ll head down to the Gold Coast for a bit with the boys,” said Silverlock.

“I’ll also go back to Adelaide for a bit to spend a bit of time with my family and friends”.
