BOMBERS CLINCH FIRST FLAG
The North Shore Bombers claimed their first Sydney AFL Premiership last weekend downing Campbelltown by 15 points. A sister-club of Essendon Football Club, the North Shore Bombers set up the victory with a seven-goal first quarter but was then forced to defend that lead for the remainder of the match as a determined Campbelltown kept coming at them. It was a thoroughly deserved win for the Sydney version of the Bombers who were clearly the best side in the competition during the home and away season. ""Celebrations are now in full swing,"" North Shore general manager Darren Simpson said. ""The whole club is now hoping Essendon can do the same thing this Saturday.""
